Ebisu-jinja Shrine


Ebisu-jinja Shrine in Kyoto is three big shrine of business in Japan.

This statue is the god of business, the name of the God is Ebisu.


In 1202 of about 800 years ago Emperor Tsuchimikado,
The shrine was built for local deity of Kenninji by Eisai Zenji which is said to be Zen of it.

The origin of “business prosperity of bamboo grass” that is widespread in the current Japan is culture of Ebisu Shrine in Kyoto.

This shrine is famous for Tokaebisu Festival(a festival held in honor of Ebisu in January).

Merchants of Kyoto flock to this shrine in the hope the prosperous business.
