[Temple] Jojakko-ji temple


Jojakukoji is Buddhist temple of Nichiren in Sagano of Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture.

Jojakukoji is located on the slopes of the hillside of Kokura-san that are poems in Hyakunin.

From the precincts of the temple I can overlook the Sagano.


In the fall, the entire temple is wrapped in leaves.

Premises of this temple is the land handed down and there was a mountain cottage “Shigure-tei” of Teika Fujiwara in the Heian period.

The end of the Azuchi-Momoyama period,
Nichiren head temple Hongokuji XVI Date Tadashi opened the Toyama as the land of secluded life.
