[Shrine] Goo-jinja shrine


 Goo-jinja shrine is a shrine that enshrined it in along the west side of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, to Karasuma communication.

This shrine begins in Temple that was dedicated to Wake no Kiyomaro.
Age of the exact foundation is the unknown.



  There is a legend of to have been saved the perplexities by 300 heads of wild boar that appeared suddenly, when Wake no Kiyomaro is exiled to the Usa, he was attacked by a thug that sent from Dokyo.

  Therefore, “Komainoshishi” has been placed instead of guardian dogs from 1890, and there is also a popular name of “wild boar shrine”.
